But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

1. Consecration: The Starting Point — A Defining Surrender

Consecration is where the believer deliberately and wholeheartedly offers their life to God. It is like saying:

“Lord, my life is Yours. My time, my will, my desires, my plans, and my body belong to You.”

📖 Romans 12:1“Present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.”

This is the beginning of true discipleship. Before God can fully work through us, He must first have our hearts. Consecration is that moment of surrender — not forced, but willing; not partial, but total.

📌 Without consecration, the Christian life becomes self-led rather than Spirit-led.

2. Walking in the Spirit: The Ongoing Journey — A Daily Surrender

Once you are consecrated, you are not done — you have only begun. The Christian life is not lived in a single moment of dedication, but in a daily walk of obedience and reliance on the Holy Spirit.

📖 Galatians 5:16“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.”

Walking in the Spirit means:

  • Depending on the Holy Spirit for strength, guidance, and wisdom.

  • Submitting your will to God moment by moment.

  • Saying “yes” to God again and again, in everyday choices.
