1. Artificial Maturity

Children today have access to vast amounts of information through the internet and social media without the guidance of adults. Because of this, they often believe they are already mature. However, knowledge is not the same as emotional maturity. Many struggle with emotional intelligence, face-to-face communication, patience, and resilience. They may give up easily when facing difficulties because much of their interaction happens through screens rather than real-life relationships.

2. Virtual Reality Mindset

Many children spend significant time in online games and digital environments. As a result, they can become more comfortable in virtual worlds than in real life. This may affect their understanding of consequences, responsibilities, and delayed gratification. They may desire privileges and rewards but lack a clear understanding that responsibilities and discipline must come first.

3. Entitlement Mentality

Some children grow up believing that it is solely their parents’ duty—especially their fathers—to provide for all their needs indefinitely. This mindset can reduce initiative, personal responsibility, and appreciation for hard work. Instead of being prepared for independence, they may develop dependence.

4. Blurred Values

In today’s culture, children are strongly influenced by peers, social media, and popular trends. Without strong guidance at home, their sense of right and wrong can become unclear. Moral standards may shift based on what is popular rather than what is true, wise, or virtuous. As a result, values may be shaped more by society than by family principles or enduring moral foundations.
