Vision for Yourself
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
2 TIMOTHY 2:15

a. See Yourself as the Good Soldier.
2 TIMOTHY 2:3 Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.
A follower of Christ is called to live as a soldier—disciplined, focused, and loyal to the One who enlisted him. A good soldier accepts hardship as part of the calling and refuses to become entangled in distractions that compromise devotion. The aim is singular: to please the Commander.
The Christian life is not centered on comfort but on faithfulness. When believers fix their eyes on Christ, they remain ready, strong, and undivided in their loyalty. Ours is not a playground but a battleground, and endurance is essential for those who would serve well.
b. See Yourself as the Victorious Athlete.
2 TIMOTHY 2:5 Also if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not win the prize unless he competes according to the rules.
Like an athlete, the believer must live with discipline and integrity. Victory is not achieved through shortcuts or self-defined rules, but through faithful obedience to God’s standards. Blessing and approval are inseparable from walking in His ways.
Obedience does not earn God’s love—it expresses it. As we submit our lives to His will, we discover that true joy and blessing flow from living in alignment with His truth.
c. See Yourself as the Unashamed Workman.
2 TIMOTHY 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
The Christian life is a lifelong calling that requires diligence and faithfulness. God desires servants who handle His Word rightly and live in such a way that they have no reason for shame. Faithfulness across every season—success, hardship, and waiting—is what it means to finish well.
Many pursue success, climbing ladders that lead only to temporary rewards. Scripture challenges us to ask not how high we climb, but where the ladder leads. Earthly success fades, but God’s approval endures forever.
True success is measured not by recognition or achievement, but by faithfulness to Christ. God calls us to live for eternal significance—investing our lives in people, pointing others to Jesus, and leaving a legacy that outlives us.
Run your race with eternity in view. Set your mind on the things above, while faithfully engaging in the mission below. Success may elevate you briefly, but significance lifts others toward eternity. That is the race worth running—and the life worth finishing well.
Prayer
Father God,
We come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging that You have called us into a holy race—not a sprint, but a lifelong journey of faith. Thank You for enlisting us as Your servants and entrusting us with Your truth.
Lord, help us to be diligent workmen—approved by You, unashamed, and faithful in rightly handling Your Word. Guard our hearts from distraction, compromise, and spiritual laziness. Give us discipline to obey You, endurance to persevere, and humility to submit fully to Your ways.
Teach us not to chase the fleeting success of this world, but to pursue eternal significance. Fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, so that we may run with endurance and finish well. May our ambition be holiness, our pursuit be Christ, and our reward be Your approval alone.
Help us to live not for ourselves, but for others—to invest our lives in people, to leave a godly legacy, and to point many to the Name above all names. Strengthen us in every season—through trials, temptations, and triumphs—until the day we stand before You.
And when our race is complete, may we hear those precious words: “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Master.”
We offer our lives to You, for Your glory and for eternity.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

By God’s grace, this website, The Message of God, was created to share His Word, encourage others in their faith, and lead people to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. God has uniquely designed and equipped every believer to take part in His work, and this website is one small expression of that calling.
All glory, honor, and praise belong to God alone. I am deeply grateful to Christ’s Commission Fellowship (CCF)—God’s instrument in helping me know Jesus personally and grow in a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him. The messages shared here are inspired by past CCF sermons, which have greatly influenced my walk with the Lord.
The ultimate purpose of this website is to point people to Jesus, encourage them to follow Him wholeheartedly, and remind every reader that a life surrendered to Christ is a life filled with purpose, grace, and joy.
