Intimacy with God Refines Vision
Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, But happy is he who keeps the law.
PROVERBS 29:18

We are called to be like lenses in the hands of God. A lens never draws attention to itself; its purpose is to reveal and magnify what lies beyond it. In the same way, our lives are not meant to magnify ourselves, but to make Christ more visible. When people look at us, they should see the image of Christ—reflected and magnified through the way we live, speak, and love.
A lens also has the purpose of focusing light. When light is unfocused, it scatters and loses its strength. But when it is gathered and directed, it becomes powerful and effective. As children of God, we are called to live as children of light—concentrating His truth, His love, and His holiness into a clear and compelling witness for the world to see.
For a lens to function properly, it must be clean and transparent. Any dirt or distortion hinders its ability to transmit light. In the same way, our hearts must be pure and fully surrendered to God, allowing His light to shine through us without obstruction. When this happens, our lives become instruments in His hands—faithfully focusing and magnifying the glory of Christ.
Prayer
Lord God,
We come before You with humble hearts, acknowledging that our lives are not meant to draw attention to ourselves, but to magnify Christ. Make us like lenses in Your hands—clear, focused, and surrendered.
Cleanse our hearts from anything that distorts Your light. Remove pride, distraction, and sin, and make us transparent vessels of Your grace. Help us to live as children of light, gathering and reflecting Your truth, love, and holiness in a world that longs for hope.
May those who look at our lives see not us, but Jesus—His compassion in our love, His truth in our words, and His holiness in our walk. Use us, Lord, to focus and magnify Your glory, for You alone deserve all honor and praise.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
PROVERBS 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, But happy is he who keeps the law.
Vision in this verse is not merely physical sight; it is spiritual revelation—God graciously making Himself and His will known through His Word. When people lack this divine revelation, they cast off restraint and begin to live according to their own desires and shifting definitions of right and wrong. The result is confusion, disorder, and moral decline.
In contrast, those who hold fast to God’s law—His Word and His revealed will—find true direction, freedom, and blessing. God-given vision anchors us to His purposes, while obedience to His Word provides clarity and protection. It keeps us from drifting into self-made paths and guides us into a life that is pleasing to Him.
WHAT DO YOU SEE?
1. Vision for SPOUSE.
3. Vision for YOURSELF.
2. Vision for FAMILY.
4. How to OBEY GOD'S RULES.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We thank You that we have been raised with Christ. Today, we choose to set our hearts on things above, where Christ is seated in glory. Align our desires with Your vision, and fix our minds on what is eternal, not on what is temporary or earthly. We surrender our plans, priorities, and perspectives to You.
Lord, we acknowledge that we have taken off the old self. By Your grace, help us daily to lay aside anger, rage, malice, slander, lies, pride, and every sinful habit that once defined us. We do not want to walk in our former ways anymore. Teach us to make daily choices that honor You, not just in words, but in how we live.
Father, we choose to put on Christ. Above all, we put on love—the love that reflects Your heart. Clothe us with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Let love rule our responses, guide our relationships, and bind our lives together in unity. May love be the garment that identifies us as Your children.
Lord Jesus, we ask that Your peace rule in our hearts. Quiet every fear, every conflict, and every anxious thought. Let Your Word dwell in us richly, shaping our thoughts, our speech, and our actions. Whatever we do—whether in word or deed—may we do it all in Your name, with grateful hearts to the Father.
Holy Spirit, we confess that we cannot live this life in our own strength. Equip us with Your power. Enable us to obey when it feels difficult, to forgive when it feels impossible, and to love as Christ loved. Strengthen our marriages, our families, and our relationships. Help us to see others—not just as they are—but as You are shaping them to become.
We yield ourselves fully to You. Lead us, empower us, and transform us for Your glory.
For what is impossible with us is possible with You.
In the mighty name of Jesus we pray,
Amen. 🙏

By God’s grace, this website, The Message of God, was created to share His Word, encourage others in their faith, and lead people to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. God has uniquely designed and equipped every believer to take part in His work, and this website is one small expression of that calling.
All glory, honor, and praise belong to God alone. I am deeply grateful to Christ’s Commission Fellowship (CCF)—God’s instrument in helping me know Jesus personally and grow in a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him. The messages shared here are inspired by past CCF sermons, which have greatly influenced my walk with the Lord.
The ultimate purpose of this website is to point people to Jesus, encourage them to follow Him wholeheartedly, and remind every reader that a life surrendered to Christ is a life filled with purpose, grace, and joy.
